THE INVESTIGATION OF EVENTS (WORK ACCIDENTS)- SAFETY AND HEALTH IN WORK
The investigation of events seeks to establish the circumstances and causes that led to their production, violated legal regulations, responsibilities and measures to be taken to prevent the production of other similar cases and, determine the character of the accident.
The investigation of events producing temporary incapacity for work is performed by the employer at which the event occurred.
The investigation of events resulting from the death and/or invalidity of the workers, as well as of dangerous incidents occurring in the territory of other counties than the county where the employer has its registered office, will be made by the Territorial Labour Inspectorate in whose territory the event took place.
At the end of the event investigation there is an investigation dossier (which will have to be endorsed by the Territorial Labour Inspectorate) and a Work Accident registration form (FIAM).
